Video of the computer to the video?

This can be difficult to explain, but here goes! I need to be able to film images from a computer. Instead of putting a camera in front of a screen and shooting, I want to be able to run a cable the CPU to monitor the computer and the same processor in my video input (mini-dv deck, switch, or a camera). I do not want to spend much money to do so. I found it-VGA adapters and stuff like that, but without really looking, I have not been able to be sure it would work! Is this possible? Thank you! I can not always install the software on the systems I'm shooting.

I lack information important. How do you computer video outputs? laptops and desktops equipped with integrated video cards have only one exit, but if you have a desktop computer with a dedicated graphics card you probably have two exits. as you have been looking for VGA adapters I suppose there you do not have a dedicated graphics card.
